Challenge:

Conceptualise a gamified solution to enable detailed dexterity training which retains a positive reinforcing UX.

Solution:

Defined the specific training objectives needed for accurate robot operation and incorporated gamified elements to create mini modules that were engaging to the user; such as levels, point systems, reward UI/audio amongst a bespoke contained environment which was built collaboratively.

The design was built upon levels of interactive limitations due to the complex control modes and needed an appealing interface to suit all skill levels of any user. The progressive nature of bubble pop and peg & hoop intended to increase difficulty and upskill the users methods of training with the robot.

Positive user reinforcement was of high priority, along with real-time feedback and analytical measurement additions were brainstormed with the engineering team for adaptive implementation which suited our budget and client requirements, of which we managed to successfully deliver, given the project complications.

Even though elements of UX improvement were required towards the polish phase and weren't able to be achieved, I was able to deliver a comprehensive set of design documentation that gave the teams plenty to work from and I provided ongoing feedback rapidly to related team members when requested in order to maintain their flow and pace during implementation.

The success of these modules are to be continued and improved upon due to our next signed deal with the client. Of which bubble pop will be a key feature.
