ABOUT

Contextualising art through visual anthropology, documentary/forensic photography, and conceptual design; all have enabled me to recognise ambiguity and develop an extensive interest towards the crossovers of art, culture, science, and psychology. I aspire to assist those facing social inequality, by creating work with a coherent attentiveness to human study, keeping their truth a part of the conversation.

I have a conceptual and analytical design approach, aside biomedical comprehension, that was established during an MSc at the University of Glasgow, in Medical Visualisation and Human Anatomy. Adept photographic and communicative design knowledge was acquired throughout personal projects and at the University of South Wales and the Glasgow School of Art.

Currently practicing as a Virtual Reality Product Designer and Freelance Artist, I've developed expertise and a versatility of learned insights that encourage my abilities, allow me to critically reflect and gather transferable strengths for further prospects. I aim to continue to nourish my abilities by exploring other areas of design, photography, anthropology, clinical/forensic case support, medical illustration, interactive application development, visual storytelling/narration, UX writing, production co-ordination/management, digital/volumetric visualisation, publication creation, curation, poetry, patient care and charity work. Whilst always motivating other facilities to take collaborative action with one another.

BA (Hons) - Communication Design

 (Two years of study)

During my two years of study various visual art and graphic design skillsets were established individually, and within a team through successful group projects.

The course offered the opportunity to contextualise art using methodologies built for communicative design, whilst learning key principles of the versatility of design.

The programme enabled me to further mediums of design such as: typography, photography, brand design, UX design, environmental design, print, web, product design, sculpture, curation, screen printing and illustration techniques, also to recognise ambiguity and develop further interest within building work towards the crossovers of culture, psychology, and fine art.
